What is killing this game and what can be done to fix it?

So made this post so that others can comment and explain what is wrong with this game as well as post some suggestions on how to make it better.

For me there is one main issue on why the game is declining. Simply put: the lack of competitiveness and excitement to fight has been lost.

Now there are a few main root causes for this:

1) Gems: when leagues can buy out bfs or outspend their opponent, no one is going to want to fight that or in the future.

2) Expanding beyond the team limit: basically sister and alt leagues. It ends up being one super team and unless another super team fights no player or league has a chance. It becomes a whoever has the most numbers will generally win.

3) Shields: it’s ok to use but some leagues abuse the hell out of this and really ruin the game. Attacking a player or league that just shields everything renders the attacking league powerless to do anything. Really if you can’t defend your city then you don’t deserve to keep it.

4) The balance of power between troop classes: it’s really boring seeing the same meta loadouts players use as well as seeing a few troops just broken OP with really no counter to them or trade off. This really needs to be balanced out in a way that allows any troop to be countered and not just be unstoppable. Also depending on what the map is and the speed of the map further adds to some troops just being ridiculously OP with 90% of units that can be made useless.

 

Some suggestions to fix these issues:

-limit gem spending per bf. Such as set a limit on how many gems can be used( can be used however they like but once the limit is reach you can’t gem anymore.

-remove the ability to gem or shield within 24hours of bf opening.

-only 1 shield can be active at any given time on a players city. So if they have 7 cities only 1 can be shielded.

-set a cooldown period between shield uses to prevent reshielding the same city. 

-remove the ability to stack shields

-Set ally limit or number of players in an alliance to counter alts used for tactics or troops for support. Note this doesn’t solve the issue entirely but it will help some.

-Enact a strict and disciplinary system that goes after leagues and players that exploit the game such as excessive use of alts or sister leagues (verbal alliance) to fight another league unfairly.
 

-If there are maps that alter speed then troops that benefit from the speed should receive a damage (and maybe an hp) decrease.  Troops that have ranged attacks that often are being underpowered due to faster speed troops should either receive a damage increase or range increase. Cant tell you how many times an airman escapes AA just from being able to fly away in under a sec.
 

-Now I am not biased against airman but it’s really annoying when you have AA, they attack you but right when you are about to kill the planes they can escape. It really should be once an airman commits he either wins the fight or loses their planes. It’s really unfair when a player makes aa and all it does is deter planes from attacking.
 

-Overall balance of troops and classes. Should be that Tanker beats cannoneer, cannoneer beats airman and airman beats tanker or at least have an advantage over them. When one class dominates all it breaks this balance. Now that’s not to say a cannoneer can’t beat a tanker but they shouldn’t be able to do it easily. I can get into more details but this is the general of balance needs to be implemented.

-Tournaments maps such as cup and MMR should not have gems used at all period. This is a map to see which league is the best not which league has the deepest pockets.

-map for cup should be changed as the first 5 hours or so nothing can really be done as your stuck on an island and just trying to get somewhere is a pain until you make either gigs or transport ships.
 

Anyway these are my thoughts and suggestions. Would be good to hear from more players and get as much feedback so that devs can make decisions and make this game better.

so you want the lv12 base unprotected? those tanks give good EXP and fun.

The game died 4-5 years ago. Remove the donations and alts and maybe the game will go back to basics. As for the speed of the troops, I proposed a system for increasing the speed from the generals and the speed itself on the map, but everyone was yelling faster, they got what they wanted, and now whine. They themselves are to blame. All this could have been avoided if the players had put their ego in and the developers had listened to the players and not pumped money out of the game without hesitation 4-5 years ago.

the biggest problem with alternate accounts is that they are shared by multiple players, so one account can play day and night.

We ourselves spawned this, but the developers do not ban, there has not been a single ban for all the years of the game. who is guilty? all. The developers should limit the donation so that it does not affect the strength of the players so much and remove the alt leagues and alt accounts. Either that or they will continue to milk the game as long as there are players. If not, then the game is not worth the candle

  1. You can’t delete private chat. 
  2. You can’t send location in any chat
  3. coastal artillery is over power and can wipe half an army (Tested with 2 gigs/ 10 strat bombers)
  4. you can’t copy and paste in text chat
  5. half of the emoji don’t show up
  6. You can gem your league city units 
  7. Officers that are dispatched keeping getting removed
  8. Highlighting units doesn’t select all the units
  9. Rebel units when attacking zoom across the floor. 
  10. Sometimes the gra-ass or trees over clip the ground units when fighting or moving
  11. When upgrading the building in a city the building cards to see what lvl the building is are stacking so you have scroll multiple times up and down. 
  12. When making units it’s not clear how many you can make 
  13. The battle field tech is all smushed together so you can not see what tech is for witch unit
  14. On the global map you can’t see the location you are looking at or the name of people that own the city
  15. When deploying your army to move to multiple locations the targets fall off so you have to manually baby your army to the target location.
  16. When trying to transport units, supplies, or materials the ability to type the amount in is not working
  17. When turrets are destroyed and repaired the come back looking like level 1 turret
  18. Same with cities that are high level, when they are destroyed and repaired they come back looking like level 1 cities
  19. When zooming the farthest away from the battlefield not all of the land gets filled in some of the ground is blue patches
  20. Gig planes sometimes won’t drop/deploy units or deploy chaff
  21. When having multiple different types of units enter a city the will run or fly to the city but won’t load into the city
  22. Medals are still stacking over players names and league names when someone post a long message in global chat
  23. Profile achievements medal keep coming off so you have to place them back on or force close the game and reopen
  24. Air, ground, sea have a delayed response when give orders 
  25. Sometimes removing players from league is not responsive 
  26. When leaving a battle field and returning to main menu, the game freezes or doesn’t load
  27. Applying skins to units or leveling up units in tech tree, is sometimes restricted and forces you into a tutorial
  28. When game is force closes and reopen there is a delay/ freeze to load screen

Dear commander, thank you for your detailed bug report. we have fixed some and we are still improving the game, sincerely hope everyone enjoy the game.

So wanted to update and provide an update on the recent update.

The update brought a lot of changes and issues when it came out. Currently players are pushing to get the old version back as the new one seems very alienated from what the game used to be. This won’t happen but steps are being taken to correct the bugs and UI issues to make it more like the game we are used to. They will not go back to the previous version as the old code is messy and doesn’t allow them to build or make modifications easily.

So given that after the devs fix these issues and get the game close to where it was with this new UI, that still leaves existing issues before this update came out.

Players talk about gems, shields and practically throwing numbers at the bf are ok. That may be true to an extent. I am willing to bet the majority of players either don’t spend or spend very little on this game. While this game does need revenue it really blows for the players on the receiving end of a league that outspends them or “buys out bfs”. 
 

While some of these wallet warrior players are providing feedback to help try to fix the game due to the UI update (getting it back to what it used to be), it can be seen as giving these “elite players” control of the game and what changes it makes. What I am saying is for this game to be the best it can be and fair, all players need to provide feedback and not just the few at the top otherwise the game is going to be favorable towards them. I don’t care how much they spend or claim to be “funding the game” it really should have no place when a league that doesn’t spend or a newbie league fights a team that can just buy their wins. To me stick these players into their own bfs to fight and leave the new players separate as well as leagues that don’t spend as much.

Really a Bf that allows no gemming or shields would be super nice to have. Keep all other bfs the same but have a separate (hardcore bf list) where it comes down to teamwork and skill and not gems and shields.

Again I did post suggestions earlier that I believe would help make this game fair and more balanced and appease both sides. I am not against spending gems or shields, what I am against is using an excessive amount of each to a point where it beats any strategy or teamwork thrown at it.

These updates and "fixes" are to cry for really...

Nothing works like it did before, and really before the major update sh!t was not working properly either.

This always was the best game wich people can play to be honest.

I like many others have spend hours a day on this game, but now dont have lust to play since all these problems wich are made for some good looks on a game lmao.

It is really to cry about...

Im sure if you guys drop this game before all the updates like 2 years ago, then alot of OG players come back to play and PAY for this game.

I would say about 3-4 years back revert to what the game was like back then. Everything was significantly better with the game itself as well as there weren’t many leagues that would break the game with super leagues, alt spam, and gem overuse. Back then there were always leagues to fight and they were good fights. Nothing like how it is now. Now it’s just a race to get stronger arms first or the only reliable meta loadout.
