Bolt 60
Update Notes New Bombers! Bristol Beaufort, Avro Lancaster, Stuka Junkers Ju 87, Mitsubishi Ki-67 and Douglas SBD Dauntless New feature: Command queue! Queue up orders for your troops Lowered the factory level for these units: Tiger Tank, Tank Destroyer, Commandos Shields remain active when attacking a surrendered player’s buildings Troops won’t consume food when they are inside bases Fixed a bug that caused HP problems when changing officers Fixed the bug that caused Troops to disappear when zooming in and out Additional Details: The Gold tech for both the B-25 and B-29 Strategic Bombers will be reset and the gold refunded back to your account. You will be free to reinvest the gold as you see fit. Command Queue details: You will now be able to queue up different commands for your troops. You can queue up any orders you can normally give your unit and your unit will execute them in the order you designated. Infantry improvement: You may order an Infantry unit to capture a building that hasn't been destroyed. The Infantry Unit will attack the building until it is destroyed and will then proceed to capture it. Troops will not consume food when inside buildings (they'll eat in the mess hall instead of eating their rations) This update is now live. We hope you enjoy it and we'll see you on the Battlefield! Bloodmancer 81
Finally, my troops will stop whining about the quality of their rations! Unluckily, I doubt the mess hall will taste to much better...

QAR 10
So with 7 bomber choices how do I decide where to put my point... any chance of getting cost and end values for each bomber?
Panzerwerfer42 8
So with 7 bombers, the water is muddy to the type of each bomber. So prior to the update. There were 4 classes of planes ( for a lack of a better description): Transports, Bombers, Fighters, Scouts. The airman class tech has discounts and bonuses for Scouts, All fighters, and All transports, and All bombers. Those are pretty easy to figure out. Also, there were basically 6 sub-categories to the planes: Large transport (gig), (standard) transport (c47), jet fighters (p.1011), (standard) fighter (p-51 *cough* spitfire skin *cough*), strategic bomber (b-29), and (standard) bomber (b-25). This impacted officer bonuses, Night Witch impacts strategic bombers, other officers only (standard) bombers. And finally the bf tech separates all the planes individually. Fast Forward to post update. What “sub” catagories do the new planes fall into? So we know all the new planes are class - bombers. But is the Lancaster considered a strategic bomber and the night witch bonuses apply? Are the SBD, Stuka, Beaufort, and Peggy all “sub” category - (standard) bomber? So any officer that lists “bombers” applies to the b-25, SBD, Stuka, Beaufort, and Peggy? Or are there new “sub” catagories, such as (naval) bomber (Peggy and Beaufort), and (tactical) bomber (Stuka and SBD)? The airman class is not impacted. The bf tech doubled in size in the air tab. So please clarify what type of bomber each new bomber is. Also, the bf tech. Tank research impacts multiple units, but planes don’t. Why? Medium, heavy and super tanks all impact two tanks in that type. Same in ships. Why planes do the same? Fighter upgrades, transport upgrsdes, strat upgrades, (standard) bomber upgrades, naval bomber upgrades, and tactical bomber upgrades. It help reduce the clutter. having said that, ild like to see the second bf tech lab with an option to unlock permanently with diamonds or for the bf only with gems (like it currently is). thank you. InHaLe 47
I have a suggestion: make a time timer to open the battlefield of event maps (for example, islands) as on a cup. So that players know how much time they have to open the battlefield
Immel 77
@Panzerwerfer42 Well at first (pre update release) I thought that we would be getting 3 main type of bombers: 1. Naval bombers good vs ships 2. Dive bombers good vs ground units 3. Strat bombers good vs buildings What I am slowly realizing is that what we got instead is 2 type of bombers LC bombers and non LC bombers. It seems that the LC bombers completely outclass their non LC counterparts at everything even in areas that they should not. For instance the B29 is still a very good all around bomber and it shouldn’t it should be horrible vs anything but destroying buildings. However it does good damage to ground units (800 vs infantry and vehicles) and awesome damage vs buildings. The Stuka which is a dive bomber a specialist unit created for killing ground units specifically does only 200 more damage vs infantry and vehicles than the B29. Which begs the question whats the point of creating new specialist roles for units if you are going to make LC bombers so good vs everything?

However I would still like to know if Lancaster’s are strategic bombers when considering officer bonuses. One of the most inconsistencies in the game is how every unit has several names or ways of identifying it. So unless you have experience from trying things, it’s hard to know without a giant ass chart explaining it.
Immel 77
Judging by their stats I would say that they are devided as such: Strategical bombers: B29 & Lancaster Naval bombers: Ki67 & Beaufort Dive bombers: SBD & Stuka Generalist: B25 However the poor B25 got nurfed so badly that instead of being a generalist it generally sucks vs everything compared to the other “specialist” LC bombers that are all around good vs everything and super good in their field of expertice. The Lancaster should be getting its own bomber officer and we have confirmed that "The Witch" does not effect the Lancaster.
