Stop/hold position buttons are misleading

When I tell my troops to stop what they're doing (typically because they decided to run off on their own and attack a city) they listen for 3 seconds. Then continue in slow moving rampage to their deaths. When I tell them to hold a position (typically meaning don't move for anything) they tend to find a shiney object in the distance and chase it like dogs to squirrels. Can we fix this?

And with that crash from my last post there was no record of it. 

 

And fuel timers don't appear to be accurate. I launched 2 scouts same level at the same time. Neither moved for 2 hours, 1 crashed the other had an hour of fuel left. 

These are the same issues I stopped playing for back in March/April and I'm not the only one in my league noticing this.
